SOUTHERN OCEAN SAFETY EQUIPMENT LTD holds a New Zealand Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence for the servicing of Lifejackets and Liferafts.  We are New Zealand service agents for Switlik and Roaring Forties equipment.

Beacons

From PLB to Float Free there is an emergency beacon to suit your needs.  With all new 406 beacons you must register them with the RCC (Rescue Co-ordination Centre); we can do this all for you when purchasing your new beacon.
We also hire beacons from: $15 for One to Three Days
                                         $20 for One to Seven Days and
                                         $10 for subsequent weeks.

Immersion Suits

Emmersion SuitWe are approved to sell and service Immersion suits, specialising in Viking and Intrepid brands. We are the New Zealand agent for Canepa & Campi.  There have been new laws passed on the requirements for Immersion Suits on certain vessels.  If you are unsure on what safety standards apply to you please contact us and we can assist you with your requirements.

Immersion suits should be serviced every three years, or to Manufacturers requirement.
